According to the photo captions, the US and Chinese vessels had “safe and professional” interactions and their verbal communications were in accordance with international standards, including the Code for Unplanned Encounters at Sea, a non-legally binding agreement to prevent clashes at sea.
You know maybe the Chinese can learn how not to be a leaky bag of dicks about other vessels sailing near their waters.
The US here acknowledged their right to sail through our EEZ and monitors at a safe and professional distance.
We didn’t send vessels in close to try ramming them. We didn’t send our fishing fleets out to harass them.
This is how it should be done.
